Attempting Aloha, elsewhere

A three-hour family plan for October 31: a sorting ceremony, a snack tray, candy-corn bingo and a House Cup.

Three closet basics for the costumes, then the house: floating candles, pumpkins, a Deathday corner and the feast.

A book-name to grocery-shelf shopping list, three budget levels, the layout and two games.

A house tie, a robe and a wand, plus one signature detail per character.

A two-sided drinks bar for the watch party: Capitol excess against District simplicity.

Every drink on the menu works both ways, so grown-ups and kids share one bar.
